Bite Sized Educational Stories
Bite Sized Educational Stories
The explore page was a concept me and the product marketing team came up with, which was supposed to help engage users more within the app other then just using it for Vet calls.
The goal was to help educate our users on common issues that our vets came across quite often which would hopefully lead to preventative care through bite sized story like posts.
The company also already had an existing blog with content that could be ported into these stories with a bit of tweaking to make them more interactive.
Users can check-in weekly and the routine could be updated by the vet asyncly (without a live vet call) and can be updated weekly.
This would help our vets give a better sense of how a user is treating their pet and what lifestyle changes can be made to help mitigate certain (and common) issues.
We were hoping that this would also lead to more user engagement, as users would have to check-in every week in order to see if they’re routine is on track
Key Takeaways and Recommendations at the end of every story.

At the end of every chapter or story, we thought it would be helpful to have a summary or key takeaways pertaining to everything that the user learned as well as some external links to any products, related blogs or other services mentioned in the post.

The last piece of the project I worked on but never got to fully flush out was the actual hub of where all these posts would be held.

I worked a bit with the content team that already had an idea of what posts they were planning on publishing and came up with this.
Some key things we were considering were
Tailoring which posts would be most relevant to the age and breed of the owner’s pets
Tailoring recommended products to the pet’s current health status
Being to filter through different media types such as guides, products and videos.
