Some Context
With the creation of the routine, we wanted to have a place where users can see and access some of the information and stats we've collected during their routine and vet visits

Most of this data was already visibile and retained for our vets to see and use
A lot of this data was already being collected for our vets to access and was used to help create better care actions for the patients. Though we thought it would be useful for some of this data to be viewable for our customers to see as well.

The information had to be more digestable and less technical than what the vets saw
The information and data on the vet app was quite technical and might not be suited for the average pet owner. We had to water it down a bit to make it easier to digest. This iis when the thought of using patterns from popular health apps (apple health, withings etc) came to play.

Progress on compliance based questions from the routine were tracked here
Progress on compliance based questions from the routine were tracked here
Certain compliance questions we asked in the assessment and routinely in every check-in were tracked here. Mainly questions pertaining to a pet's body (ie: Pet's weight, body condition & dental hygiene.)
Users can check-in weekly and the routine could be updated by the vet asyncly (without a live vet call) and can be updated weekly.
This would help our vets give a better sense of how a user is treating their pet and what lifestyle changes can be made to help mitigate certain (and common) issues.
We were hoping that this would also lead to more user engagement, as users would have to check-in every week in order to see if they’re routine is on track
The status of each health entry was also shown. We also thought of adding a small card or tool tip to help educate users on why a certain point was abnormal or outside normal limits.

Ability to add individual entries
Users could update most of these health entries individually without having to do another assessment or check-in

The idea behind this was just so that users would have more flexibility when keeping their information the most up to date.
It was also the most useful in scenarios where vets would prescribe a plan that could change in only a few hours or days - ie a strict 48hr diet for an upset stomach, etc.
This is also made it easier for vets to monitor these pets during these situations vs waiting a whole week for a check-in.

For entries such as medication, allergies and chronic conditions, we also took the time to redesign the way our default search function in the app. Which was pretty linear and hard to navigate through.

Digital medical records were important for our vets and users
Digital medical records were important for our vets and users
After talking to both our vets and our users. There would be many scenarios in conversations where vets would request to see medical records from the users they were talking to.
The hand off process for this wasn't ideal and vets would only be able to access the records via the archive chat they were on.
We needed a place where we could keep track of these medical records for both our vets and our users.
